Wanted to understand about this product.Does it capture wireless packets over Air
Hi Venkat. No, it doesn’t. It’s a Wi-Fi scanner/analyzer only.
Is it possible to install it on 2 computers like a desktop and a Laptop? For analysing on desktop and and mobility with a laptop
Great software!! Mac users has been talking about it for years so a Windows version is well needed for the WIFI community.
A little heads-up: some WIFI adapters aren’t giving correct results, due to bad chipsets/drivers. It has always been a problem for all WIFI analyzer software on Windows, as you probably already know, it doesn’t have anything to do with the analyzer software itself but inexperienced users might think there are software issues.
If you are thinking of developing a Packet Capture feature add-on for this, you will be almost alone in the market for Windows to support WIFI6/WIFI6E/WIFI7 to do this in a modern way without the need for external hardware. Using Wireshark with npcap for WIFI on Windows is pretty much a rabbit hole of issues, I have not succeeded with capturing anything on 6 GHz for example. And the alternatives on Windows are way too expensive if you only need to do WIFI captures a few times a year.
Imagine if you could select a Station (client or AP) in the GUI and the select Capture… that would be so cool, easy and useful. :)
Great tool. I haved used in Mac and now I have also in Windows, but in Windows I realize that the spectrum using the Oscium Wipry does not work.
Do you know if is missing this part in Windows?
Hi Carlos. Currently, WiFi Explorer Pro for Windows doesn’t have any spectrum analysis capabilities. We plan to add this feature in subsequent versions of the tool.
